Instructions
Step 1: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Have four individual oven-safe bowls or ramekins ready.
Step 2: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground Italian sausage (or ground beef) until browned and cooked through. If using, add chopped onion and bell pepper during the last 5 minutes of cooking until softened. Drain off any excess fat.
Step 3: Divide the cooked meat and vegetable mixture evenly among the four oven-safe bowls.
Step 4: Spoon 1/4 cup of low-sugar pizza sauce over the mixture in each bowl, spreading it gently to cover.
