A vibrant and refreshing Spicy Cucumber Margarita recipe, blending cool cucumber with zesty lime and a fiery kick of jalapeño. Perfect for summer entertaining or a personal treat.

  • Total Time: 10 minutes
  • Yield: 1 serving 1x

Ingredients

Scale

2-3 slices fresh cucumber, plus extra for garnish
2-3 slices fresh jalapeño, seeds removed for less heat (or left in for more), plus extra for garnish
2 oz Blanco or Reposado Tequila
1 oz fresh lime juice
0.5 oz orange liqueur (Cointreau, Triple Sec)
0.5 oz agave nectar or simple syrup (adjust to taste)
Ice
Chili-lime salt or sea salt, for rim

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare your glass by rubbing a lime wedge around the rim and dipping it into chili-lime salt or sea salt. Set aside.
Step 2: In a cocktail shaker, add 2-3 slices of fresh cucumber and 2-3 slices of fresh jalapeño. Gently muddle them to release their juices and oils.
Step 3: Pour in the tequila, fresh lime juice, orange liqueur, and agave nectar into the shaker. Fill the shaker about two-thirds full with ice.
Step 4: Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds until the shaker is frosty cold.
Step 5: Fill your prepared glass with fresh ice. Double strain the cocktail mixture into the glass, using a fine-mesh strainer to catch any solids.
Step 6: Garnish with an extra cucumber slice, a lime wheel, or a thin jalapeño ring. Serve immediately and enjoy your Spicy Cucumber Margarita!

Notes

For best results, use fresh, high-quality ingredients. Adjust jalapeño and sweetener to your personal taste. Double straining ensures a smooth, pulp-free cocktail.
