An incredibly easy and delicious salmon bites recipe that transforms fresh salmon into perfectly seasoned, bite-sized pieces, ideal for a quick weeknight dinner or healthy meal prep.

  • Total Time: 20 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale

1.5 lbs (approx. 680g) skinless salmon fillet, fresh or thawed
2 tablespoons olive oil, divided
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon fresh parsley or dill, chopped (for garnish)
Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

Step 1: Pat the salmon fillet dry thoroughly with paper towels. This helps achieve a nice sear.
Step 2: Cut the salmon fillet into 1-inch (2.5 cm) cubes. Aim for uniform size for even cooking.
Step 3: In a medium bowl, combine 1 tablespoon of olive oil, minced garlic, smoked paprika, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
Step 4: Add the salmon cubes to the bowl and gently toss until each piece is evenly coated with the seasoning. You can marinate for 5-10 minutes if desired.
Step 5: Heat the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large non-stick skillet or cast-iron pan over medium-high heat until shimmering.
Step 6: Carefully place the seasoned salmon bites in a single layer in the hot skillet. Do not overcrowd the pan; cook in batches if necessary. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature of 145°F or 63°C).
Step 7: Remove the cooked salmon bites from the skillet. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley or dill and a squeeze of fresh lemon juice before serving.

Notes

For best results, always pat your salmon dry before seasoning and cooking. This ensures a beautiful sear. These salmon bites are fantastic for meal prep; store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Consider using high-quality glass food storage containers for freshness and easy reheating. This simple salmon bites recipe can be customized with your favorite spices or sauces.
