No reviews

A rich, creamy, and refreshing tropical cocktail made with white rum, cream of coconut, and pineapple juice.

  • Total Time: 5 minutes
  • Yield: 2 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale

4 oz White Rum
4 oz Cream of Coconut (e.g., Coco Lopez)
6 oz Pineapple Juice
2 cups Ice
Fresh pineapple wedges for garnish
Maraschino cherries for garnish

Instructions

Step 1: Chill your hurricane glasses in the freezer for 10 minutes prior to starting your Piña colada recipe.
Step 2: Add the white rum, cream of coconut, and pineapple juice to a high-speed blender.
Step 3: Add the ice to the blender jar. For a thicker Piña colada recipe, you can add slightly more ice.
Step 4: Blend on high speed until the mixture is completely smooth and frothy, usually about 30-45 seconds.
Step 5: Pour the Piña colada recipe mixture into the chilled glasses.
Step 6: Garnish with a fresh pineapple wedge and a maraschino cherry on a cocktail pick.

Notes

Always use cream of coconut (sweetened) rather than coconut milk for the correct Piña colada recipe consistency.
