Ingredients
2 cups (approx. 250g) frozen mixed berries (strawberries, raspberries, blueberries)
1/2 cup (120ml) cold water, apple juice, or coconut water
1-2 teaspoons honey, maple syrup, or other preferred sweetener (optional, to taste)
1/2 teaspoon fresh lime juice (optional, for brightness)
Instructions
Step 1: Begin by adding your liquid base to the bottom of your Ninja blender pitcher. This ensures the blades engage properly with the frozen ingredients.
Step 2: Add the frozen mixed berries on top of the liquid. If using, also add the optional sweetener and lime juice at this stage.
Step 3: Secure the lid firmly on your Ninja blender. Select the 'Frozen Drink' or 'Smoothie' setting if available. If not, start on a low speed and gradually increase to high. Use short pulses initially to break down the large frozen chunks.
Step 4: Blend continuously, scraping down the sides with a spatula if needed, until a smooth, uniform, snow-like consistency is achieved. This typically takes 30-60 seconds. Add an extra tablespoon of liquid if the mixture is too thick to blend, but be careful not to add too much.
Step 5: Once perfectly smooth and icy, pour the slushie immediately into two chilled glasses. Garnish with fresh berries or a sprig of mint if desired.
Step 6: Serve and enjoy your refreshing Ultimate Berry Blast Ninja Slushie right away for the best frosty experience.
Notes
For the best texture, ensure all fruit is completely frozen. Adjust liquid quantity to achieve your preferred consistency – less liquid for a thicker slushie, more for a thinner one. For a vibrant taste, use ripe, sweet berries.
