A vibrant and refreshing berry slushie, perfectly smooth thanks to the power of the Ninja blender. This recipe is endlessly customizable and perfect for cooling down on a hot day.

  • Total Time: 5 minutes
  • Yield: 2 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale

2 cups mixed frozen berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
1/2 cup cold water (or coconut water, or apple juice)
1-2 tablespoons simple syrup (or honey, maple syrup, to taste)
Optional: 1/2 cup ice cubes (if fruit isn't completely frozen or for extra thickness)
Optional: Fresh mint sprigs or berries for garnish

Instructions

Step 1: Add the frozen mixed berries to your Ninja blender pitcher. Ensure the berries are truly frozen for the best slushie consistency.
Step 2: Pour in 1/2 cup of cold water (or your chosen liquid base). If your frozen fruit isn't super icy, you can also add 1/2 cup of ice cubes here to ensure a thick slushie.
Step 3: Add 1 to 2 tablespoons of simple syrup or your preferred sweetener. Start with 1 tablespoon and adjust to your sweetness preference after blending.
Step 4: Secure the lid firmly on the Ninja blender. Select the 'Crush' or 'Ice Cream' setting if available, or blend on high speed.
Step 5: Blend until the mixture is completely smooth and has a uniform, icy texture. You may need to pause and use a spatula to scrape down the sides, ensuring all fruit and ice are incorporated.
Step 6: If the slushie is too thick to blend, add liquid one tablespoon at a time and blend again until you reach the desired pourable, yet icy, consistency.
Step 7: Pour the Berry Blast Ninja Slushie into two chilled glasses. Garnish with a fresh berry or a sprig of mint, if desired.
Step 8: Serve immediately and enjoy your perfectly refreshing homemade slushie!

Notes

For an extra frosty slushie, chill your serving glasses in the freezer for 15-20 minutes before serving. Adjust the amount of sweetener to your preference based on the natural sweetness of your fruit. For a creamier slushie, substitute water with a splash of milk or yogurt.
