2 oz (60ml) Blanco Tequila (100% agave)
1 oz (30ml) Freshly Squeezed Lime Juice
0.75 oz (22.5ml) Orange Liqueur (Cointreau or quality Triple Sec)
0.25-0.5 oz (7.5-15ml) Agave Nectar or Simple Syrup (optional, to taste)
Coarse salt (for rimming)
Lime wheel or wedge (for garnish)

Instructions
Step 1: Prepare your glass. Take a lime wedge and moisten the rim of your margarita or rocks glass. On a small plate, spread coarse salt. Invert the glass and gently press the rim into the salt, rotating to get an even coating. Set aside.
Step 2: Combine ingredients. In a cocktail shaker, pour the Blanco tequila, fresh lime juice, orange liqueur, and optional agave nectar.
Step 3: Shake. Fill the cocktail shaker two-thirds full with fresh ice. Secure the lid tightly and shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds, until the shaker is thoroughly chilled and frosty.
Step 4: Strain and serve. Fill your prepared, salt-rimmed glass with fresh ice. Use a cocktail strainer to strain the margarita mixture from the shaker into the glass. Garnish with a fresh lime wheel or wedge. Enjoy your classic margarita recipe immediately!
Notes
For best results, always use freshly squeezed lime juice. Adjust sweetness to your preference with agave nectar. For a spicy kick, muddle a few jalapeño slices in the shaker before adding other ingredients.
