  • Total Time: 2 hours 20 minutes (includes chill time)
  • Yield: 24-30 shots (1 oz each) 1x

Ingredients

Scale

1 (3 oz) package flavored gelatin (any flavor)
1 cup boiling water
1/2 cup cold water
1 cup cold alcoholic spirit (e.g., vodka, rum, tequila)

Instructions

Step 1: Gather all your ingredients and arrange 1-2 ounce plastic shot cups on a baking sheet for easy handling.
Step 2: In a small saucepan, bring 1 cup of water to a full boil.
Step 3: Carefully pour the boiling water into a heat-safe bowl or pitcher. Add the packet of flavored gelatin powder. Whisk continuously for 2-3 minutes until the gelatin is completely dissolved and no granules remain.
Step 4: Stir in the 1/2 cup of cold water into the dissolved gelatin mixture. Mix well to combine and cool the mixture slightly.
Step 5: Add the 1 cup of cold alcoholic spirit to the gelatin mixture. Stir gently until fully incorporated, being careful not to create too many air bubbles.
Step 6: Carefully pour the liquid jello mixture into the prepared plastic cups, filling each about 3/4 full.
Step 7: Transfer the baking sheet with the filled jello shots to the refrigerator. Chill for at least 2-4 hours, or preferably overnight, until the shots are completely firm.
Step 8: Once firm, your jello shots are ready to serve. For easy removal, gently squeeze the cup or run a thin knife around the edge. Enjoy responsibly!

Notes

For best results, use cold alcohol and ensure the gelatin is fully dissolved before adding it. Chill thoroughly for at least 4 hours, or overnight. You can lightly spray cups with neutral cooking spray for easier release.
