Ingredients
1/2 - 1 cup cold brew coffee concentrate (or 1 cup strong, chilled hot coffee)
1/4 - 1/2 cup milk or creamer of choice (dairy, almond, oat, soy, etc.)
1-2 tbsp sweetener of choice (simple syrup, maple syrup, honey, sugar, etc.)
Plenty of ice (coffee ice cubes recommended)
Instructions
Step 1: If using cold brew, ensure you have a batch ready. If using hot coffee, brew a strong cup and let it cool slightly for a few minutes.
Step 2: Fill your favorite glass generously with ice. For best results, use coffee ice cubes to prevent dilution.
Step 3: Pour the cold brew concentrate (or chilled hot coffee) into the glass over the ice. Adjust the amount based on your desired strength.
Step 4: Add your preferred sweetener. If using granulated sugar, ensure it's dissolved in a small amount of warm coffee or hot water first, or use a liquid sweetener like simple syrup or maple syrup. Stir well to combine.
Step 5: Gently pour your chosen milk or creamer over the coffee. For a visually appealing layered effect, pour it slowly over the back of a spoon.
Step 6: Stir the iced coffee gently to fully incorporate all ingredients. Taste and adjust the sweetness or coffee strength as desired. Serve immediately and enjoy your perfectly refreshing homemade iced coffee!
Notes
For the best flavor and to avoid dilution, prepare cold brew concentrate in advance. You can store cold brew concentrate in the refrigerator for up to two weeks in an airtight container.
