Ingredients
1 cup plain Greek yogurt (full-fat or low-fat)
1/2 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy, e.g., almond, oat)
1 cup mixed frozen berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
1/2 ripe banana, preferably frozen and sliced
1-2 tsp honey or maple syrup (optional, to taste)
Instructions
Step 1: Begin by pouring the milk into your blender. This helps lubricate the blades for easier blending.
Step 2: Add the Greek yogurt to the blender cup.
Step 3: Next, add the frozen mixed berries and the frozen banana slices.
Step 4: If desired, add 1-2 teaspoons of honey or maple syrup for extra sweetness. Adjust this based on the sweetness of your fruit and personal preference.
Step 5: Secure the lid and blend on high speed until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy. If the smoothie is too thick, add a little more milk (1-2 tablespoons at a time) and blend again until you reach your desired consistency.
Step 6: Pour the energizing Greek Yogurt Smoothie into a glass and enjoy immediately.
Notes
For an even thicker smoothie, use less milk or add a handful of ice cubes. You can also add a scoop of protein powder or a tablespoon of chia seeds for extra nutrients.
