  • Total Time: 15 minutes (plus chilling time)
  • Yield: 8 servings (approx. 2 quarts) 1x

Ingredients

Scale

1 cup fresh lemon juice (from 4-6 lemons)
1 cup granulated sugar (or to taste)
1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
6 cups water (2 cups hot, 4 cups cold)
Lemon slices and fresh mint for garnish (optional)
Ice

Instructions

Step 1: Juice your fresh lemons. Roll lemons on a counter to extract more juice. Strain the lemon juice through a fine-mesh sieve to remove seeds and pulp. You should have approximately 1 cup of lemon juice.
Step 2: In a large pitcher or jug, combine the fresh lemon juice, granulated sugar, and 2 cups of hot water. Stir continuously until the sugar is completely dissolved.
Step 3: Add the entire can of sweetened condensed milk to the pitcher. Stir vigorously until it is fully incorporated into the lemon mixture, ensuring no streaks remain and the liquid is uniformly cloudy and creamy.
Step 4: Pour in the remaining 4 cups of cold water. Stir again to mix thoroughly. Taste the creamy lemonade and adjust the sweetness or tartness if desired by adding a little more sugar or lemon juice.
Step 5: Cover the pitcher and refrigerate for at least 1-2 hours, or until the creamy lemonade is thoroughly chilled. Serving it cold enhances its refreshing qualities.
Step 6: Before serving, give the creamy lemonade a good stir. Serve over plenty of ice in tall glasses, garnished with fresh lemon slices and/or a sprig of mint, if desired. Enjoy your delicious creamy lemonade!

Notes

For an extra burst of lemon flavor, you can add 1-2 teaspoons of lemon zest to the hot water and sugar mixture. Ensure all sugar is fully dissolved before adding the condensed milk for the smoothest texture. Adjust sugar to your preference; start with less and add more if needed.
