Ingredients
8 oz (226g) cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup (120g) sour cream
1/4 cup (60g) mayonnaise
1 1/2 cups (approx. 250g) finely diced dill pickles (about 3-4 large pickles)
1/4 cup fresh dill, finely chopped
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/4 tsp black pepper
2-4 tbsp dill pickle juice (from the jar), to taste
Instructions
Step 1: In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise. Beat with a hand mixer or whisk until completely smooth and creamy. Scrape down the sides of the bowl as needed.
Step 2: Add the finely diced dill pickles to the cream cheese mixture. Ensure the pickles are diced small for the best texture.
Step 3: Stir in the finely chopped fresh dill, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Mix until all ingredients are well combined.
Step 4: Gradually add the dill pickle juice, starting with 2 tablespoons, mixing after each addition, until the desired consistency and tanginess are reached. You want a creamy, scoopable dip.
Step 5: Transfer the Creamy Dill Pickle Dip in a Jar to an airtight container or a serving jar. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours (or preferably overnight) to allow the flavors to meld and the dip to firm up.
Step 6: Before serving, give the dip a good stir. Garnish with a sprinkle of extra fresh dill and a few finely chopped pickle pieces, if desired. Serve chilled with your favorite chips, crackers, or fresh vegetables.
Notes
For the best flavor, use high-quality dill pickles and fresh dill. Chilling the dip for at least 2 hours allows the flavors to fully develop and meld together, resulting in an even more delicious Creamy Dill Pickle Dip in a Jar.
