Indulge in the rich, warm, and comforting flavors of a cafe-style Cookie Butter Latte, perfectly crafted at home. This delightful beverage combines the spicy-sweet essence of speculoos cookie butter with robust coffee and creamy milk for an unforgettable treat.

  • Total Time: 10 minutes
  • Yield: 1 serving 1x

Ingredients

Scale

2-3 tbsp cookie butter (e.g., Biscoff Spread)
1 tsp brown sugar (optional, for extra sweetness)
2 tbsp hot water
1-2 shots (approx. 2-4 oz) hot espresso or 4-6 oz strong-brewed coffee
8-10 oz milk of choice (dairy or non-dairy)
Optional garnishes: extra cookie butter drizzle, whipped cream, crushed Biscoff cookies, sprinkle of cinnamon

Instructions

Step 1: In a small saucepan, combine the cookie butter, brown sugar (if using), and hot water. Place over medium-low heat.
Step 2: Stir constantly with a whisk until the cookie butter is fully melted and the sugar has dissolved, creating a smooth, thick syrup. Remove from heat and set aside.
Step 3: Brew your coffee according to your preferred method. Prepare 1-2 shots of espresso or 4-6 oz of strong-brewed coffee.
Step 4: Heat your milk in a microwave-safe mug or small saucepan until hot but not boiling. For frothing, use a milk frother or whisk vigorously until airy.
Step 5: Pour 2-3 tablespoons of the prepared cookie butter syrup into your serving mug. Adjust to your sweetness preference.
Step 6: Add the freshly brewed coffee to the mug, stirring gently to combine with the cookie butter syrup.
Step 7: Slowly pour the frothed milk into the mug, holding back the foam with a spoon initially, then spooning it on top.
Step 8: Garnish with a drizzle of extra cookie butter syrup, a sprinkle of cinnamon, or crushed Biscoff cookies, if desired. Serve immediately and enjoy your homemade Cookie Butter Latte!

Notes

For best results, use a creamy cookie butter that dissolves easily. Adjust sweetness and coffee strength to your personal preference. This recipe can easily be doubled or tripled to serve more people.
