Ingredients
2 cups (about 4 large scoops) high-quality chocolate ice cream
1/2 cup (120ml) whole milk (or more, to taste)
2-3 tablespoons chocolate syrup, or 1-2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder (adjust to desired chocolate intensity)
Whipped cream, chocolate shavings, or a cherry (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
Step 1: Place your serving glasses in the freezer for at least 15 minutes to ensure your milkshake stays extra frosty.
Step 2: Add the chocolate ice cream, whole milk, and chocolate syrup (or cocoa powder) to a high-speed blender.
Step 3: Secure the blender lid and blend on low speed, gradually increasing to high, until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy. If the milkshake is too thick, add additional milk, one tablespoon at a time, until you reach your desired consistency. If it's too thin, add another scoop of ice cream.
Step 4: Pour the freshly blended chocolate milkshake into your chilled glasses.
Step 5: Garnish with a swirl of whipped cream, a sprinkle of chocolate shavings, or a classic maraschino cherry if desired. Serve immediately with a wide straw and enjoy your perfect homemade chocolate milkshake!
Notes
For an extra thick milkshake, use slightly less milk or add an additional scoop of ice cream. Adjust chocolate syrup or cocoa powder to your preferred level of sweetness and chocolate intensity.
