4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon dried oregano
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 large tomatoes, sliced
8 oz fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced
1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, chiffonade
1/4 cup balsamic glaze
Instructions
Step 1: Season the chicken breasts on both sides with salt, pepper, and dried oregano to prepare for this chicken caprese recipe.
Step 2: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook for 5-7 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
Step 3: Place a slice of tomato and a slice of mozzarella on top of each chicken breast.
Step 4: Cover the skillet with a lid and cook for 1-2 minutes until the mozzarella is melted.
