Ingredients
2 cups Tequila Blanco (100% Agave)
1 cup Freshly squeezed lime juice (about 8-10 limes)
1 cup Orange liqueur (Cointreau or Triple Sec)
1/2 cup Agave nectar or simple syrup (adjust to taste)
1/2 cup Water (to mimic dilution of shaking)
Lime wedges and coarse sea salt for the rims
Ice for serving
Instructions
Step 1: Squeeze the lime juice until you have exactly one cup. Ensure there are no seeds or large pieces of pulp for a smooth batch margarita recipe.
Step 2: In a large pitcher, combine the tequila, lime juice, orange liqueur, and water. Stir well to combine.
Step 3: Add the agave nectar to the pitcher. Stir vigorously for 30 seconds to ensure the sweetener is fully dissolved into the alcohol and juice.
Step 4: Taste the mixture. If it is too tart, add another tablespoon of agave. If it is too sweet, add another splash of lime juice.
Step 5: Cover the pitcher and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or up to 24 hours. This allows the batch margarita recipe flavors to harmonize.
Step 6: To serve, run a lime wedge around the rim of each glass and dip into a small plate of sea salt.
Step 7: Fill the salted glasses with fresh ice and pour the chilled batch margarita recipe over the top. Garnish with a fresh lime wheel.
Notes
Always use fresh lime juice for the best results. To make it ahead of time, mix all ingredients except ice and keep chilled.
