Elevate your coffee with this easy-to-make, naturally sweet, and incredibly creamy Banana Cold Foam. Perfect for iced coffees, lattes, or as a delightful treat on its own. Experience café-quality drinks right at home!

  • Total Time: 5 minutes
  • Yield: 2 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale

1 ripe banana (with brown spots)
1/2 cup (120ml) cold heavy cream (or full-fat coconut cream/oat milk barista blend for dairy-free)
1-2 teaspoons maple syrup (adjust to taste)
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

Step 1: Gather all your ingredients. Ensure your banana is very ripe, and your heavy cream (or dairy-free alternative) is thoroughly chilled.
Step 2: Slice the ripe banana into small chunks. The smaller the pieces, the easier it will be to blend smoothly into your Banana Cold Foam.
Step 3: In a blender or a deep container suitable for an immersion blender, combine the banana chunks, cold heavy cream, maple syrup, and vanilla extract.
Step 4: Blend the mixture. Start on a low speed and gradually increase, blending until the banana is completely smooth and no lumps remain. Continue blending until the mixture thickens and a light, airy foam begins to form. This usually takes 1-3 minutes.
Step 5: Check the consistency. You are looking for a thick, pourable, and airy foam that holds its shape but is still fluid enough to spoon or pour over a drink. This is the ideal consistency for a perfect Banana Cold Foam.
Step 6: Taste the Banana Cold Foam and adjust sweetness if desired by adding a little more maple syrup and blending briefly to combine.
Step 7: Serve immediately. Spoon or pour your freshly made Banana Cold Foam over your favorite iced coffee, hot latte, iced tea, or even a homemade espresso. Garnish with a sprinkle of cinnamon or a banana chip if desired. Enjoy your luxurious Banana Cold Foam!

Notes

For the best foaming results, ensure all ingredients, especially the heavy cream, are very cold. You can also freeze your banana slices for 30 minutes before blending for an even creamier, thicker foam. Store any leftover Banana Cold Foam in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days; it might lose some of its airiness but will still be delicious.
