1 lb fresh asparagus, trimmed
1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 lemon, juiced
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions
Step 1: Wash the asparagus thoroughly and pat dry with a paper towel until no moisture remains.
Step 2: Trim the woody ends of the asparagus by snapping them or cutting off the bottom inch of the stalks.
Step 3: In a large bowl, toss the asparagus with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
Step 4: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
Step 5: Place the asparagus in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook for 7-9 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
Step 6: Remove from the air fryer, drizzle with fresh lemon juice, and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese if desired before serving.
Notes
Ensure the asparagus is completely dry before oiling to get the best crunch. Thinner spears may only need 5-6 minutes.
