Ingredients
36 chocolate sandwich cookies (like Oreos)
6 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup granulated sugar
2 tbsp cold milk
8 oz whipped topping (like Cool Whip), divided
2 packages (3.9 oz each) instant chocolate pudding mix
3 cups cold whole milk
1/2 cup caramel sauce
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1/4 cup mini chocolate chips
Instructions
Step 1: Crush the chocolate sandwich cookies into fine crumbs using a food processor or a plastic bag and rolling pin. Mix with melted butter and press into the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish. Refrigerate for 10 minutes.
Step 2: In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with sugar and 2 tablespoons of milk until smooth. Fold in half of the whipped topping. Spread this mixture evenly over the chilled crust to form the second layer of your turtle lasagna dessert recipe.
Step 3: In a separate bowl, whisk together both packages of instant chocolate pudding mix with 3 cups of cold milk for 2 minutes until thick. Carefully spread the pudding over the cream cheese layer.
Step 4: Spread the remaining whipped topping over the pudding layer, smoothing it out to the edges.
Step 5: Drizzle the caramel sauce generously over the top. Sprinkle with chopped pecans and mini chocolate chips. Chill the turtle lasagna dessert recipe in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours before serving.
Notes
For best results, let the lasagna sit in the freezer for 15 minutes between layers to ensure they stay separate. Use high-quality caramel sauce for the best flavor.
