A vibrant and refreshing fruit salsa made with fresh strawberries, juicy pineapple, jalapeño, and lime juice. Perfect for chips or as a topping for grilled meats.

  • Total Time: PT45M
  • Yield: 6 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale

2 cups fresh strawberries, diced
1 cup fresh pineapple, diced
1/4 cup red onion, finely minced
1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
1 jalapeño, seeded and minced
2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
1 tablespoon honey or agave nectar (optional)
Pinch of salt

Instructions

Step 1: Wash and hull the strawberries, then dice them into small, uniform pieces and place in a large mixing bowl.
Step 2: Peel and core the fresh pineapple, dicing it to roughly the same size as the strawberries; add to the bowl.
Step 3: Finely mince the red onion and jalapeño, ensuring the jalapeño is seeded if you prefer less heat, and add to the fruit mixture.
Step 4: Add the chopped fresh cilantro, lime juice, and honey (if using) to the bowl.
Step 5: Gently toss all ingredients together with a pinch of salt until well combined.
Step 6: Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld before serving.

Notes

For the best flavor, use the freshest fruit possible. If the strawberries are very sweet, you can skip the honey.
