A refreshing and healthy summer snack featuring firm watermelon sliced into fries and tossed with zesty lime and spicy Tajin seasoning.

  • Total Time: 15 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale

1 small seedless watermelon (chilled)
2 tablespoons Tajin Clásico seasoning (or chili-lime powder)
2 fresh limes, juiced
Optional: Fresh mint leaves for garnish
Optional: Honey for drizzling

Instructions

Step 1: Slice the ends off the watermelon so it stands flat on a cutting board.
Step 2: Using a sharp knife, remove the rind and white pith from the watermelon to reveal the red flesh.
Step 3: Cut the watermelon into 1-inch thick planks.
Step 4: Slice each plank into long, thin batons to resemble French fries.
Step 5: Arrange the watermelon batons on a serving platter or in individual cups.
Step 6: Squeeze fresh lime juice evenly over the watermelon fries.
Step 7: Sprinkle the Tajin seasoning over the fries and serve immediately while cold.

Notes

Always serve chilled. For best results, season right before eating to avoid the melon becoming too watery.
