Ingredients
12 slices white sandwich bread
1/2 cup Nutella or hazelnut spread
2 large eggs
3 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
2 tablespoons butter
Instructions
Step 1: Cut the crusts off each slice of bread and use a rolling pin to flatten the bread completely.
Step 2: Spread about 1 tablespoon of Nutella on each slice of bread, leaving a small border at the edges.
Step 3: Roll each slice of bread up tightly into a cylinder.
Step 4: In a shallow bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, and vanilla extract. In a separate small bowl, mix the sugar and cinnamon.
Step 5: Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Dip each bread roll into the egg mixture, coating all sides, then place in the skillet.
Step 6: Fry the rolls for 1-2 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy, then immediately roll them in the cinnamon-sugar mixture while hot.
Notes
Use fresh bread for easier rolling. If the bread is too dry, it may crack.
