Ingredients
3 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts
1 packet (1 oz) dry Ranch dressing mix
8 oz full-fat cream cheese, cubed
1/2 cup chicken broth (optional, for thinner sauce)
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Fresh chives or parsley for garnish
Instructions
Step 1: Place the chicken breasts in a single layer at the bottom of the slow cooker.
Step 2: Evenly sprinkle the dry ranch seasoning mix, garlic powder, and black pepper over the chicken.
Step 3: Place the cubed cream cheese on top of the seasoned chicken breasts.
Step 4: Cover and cook on 'Low' for 4-6 hours or 'High' for 3 hours until chicken is tender enough to shred.
Step 5: Using two forks, shred the chicken directly in the crockpot and stir until the cream cheese is fully incorporated into a smooth sauce.
Step 6: Serve warm over your choice of pasta, rice, or on a bun.
Notes
If the sauce is too thick after shredding, add a splash of chicken broth or milk. You can also add bacon bits at the end for extra flavor.
