Ingredients
4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup heavy cream
1 tablespoon lemon zest
3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
2 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
Step 1: Season the salmon fillets generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
Step 2: Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add salmon fillets and sear for 4-5 minutes per side until golden and cooked to your liking. Remove from skillet and set aside.
Step 3: In the same skillet, melt the remaining tablespoon of butter. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
Step 4: Reduce heat to medium and pour in the heavy cream. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
Step 5: Stir in the lemon zest, lemon juice, fresh dill, and fresh parsley. Season the sauce with a pinch of salt and pepper.
Step 6: Place the salmon fillets back into the skillet and spoon the sauce over them. Simmer for 1 more minute to warm through and serve immediately.
Notes
Ensure the salmon is at room temperature before searing for even cooking. Fresh herbs are highly recommended over dried ones for the best flavor profile.
