Ingredients
1 lb ground beef (80/20)
1/2 small onion, finely diced
1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
1/2 cup dill pickles, finely chopped
12 egg roll wrappers
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
Vegetable oil for frying
1 egg, beaten (for sealing)
Instructions
Step 1: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef and diced onions until the meat is fully cooked and onions are soft.
Step 2: Drain the excess grease from the skillet thoroughly to ensure the cheeseburger egg rolls recipe stays crispy.
Step 3: Stir in the salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Remove from heat and let the mixture cool for about 5 minutes.
Step 4: Add the shredded cheese and chopped pickles to the beef mixture, stirring until well combined.
Step 5: Place an egg roll wrapper on a flat surface. Spoon approximately 2 tablespoons of the filling onto the center of the wrapper.
Step 6: Fold the bottom corner over the filling, fold in the side corners, and roll tightly. Brush the top corner with egg wash to seal firmly.
Step 7: Heat oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C). Fry the egg rolls in batches for 3-5 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden brown and crispy.
Step 8: Remove from oil and drain on paper towels. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
Ensure the beef mixture is not too oily before wrapping to prevent soggy rolls.
