Ingredients
1 large bag of Nacho Cheese Doritos
8 oz full-fat cream cheese, softened
6 slices thick-cut bacon, cooked until very crispy and finely crumbled
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon fresh chives, finely chopped
1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
Cooking spray (optional for air fryer method)
Instructions
Step 1: Cook the bacon until it is extremely crispy. Drain the grease and crumble it into very small pieces so it can be easily mixed into the filling.
Step 2: In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, crumbled bacon, garlic powder, and fresh chives. Mix until smooth and well-incorporated.
Step 3: Select the largest and most intact Doritos from the bag. Lay them out on a clean surface.
Step 4: Using a small spoon or a piping bag, place about 1 teaspoon of the cream cheese mixture onto the center of one Dorito.
Step 5: Gently press another Dorito of a similar size on top to create a sandwich. Repeat this process until all filling is used.
Step 6: Optional: For a warm snack, place the stuffed chips in an air fryer at 350°F (175°C) for 2-3 minutes or in a preheated oven for 5 minutes until the cheese just begins to soften.
Step 7: Serve your bacon cream cheese stuffed doritos immediately while the chips are perfectly crunchy.
Notes
Always use room temperature cream cheese for a smooth texture. If the bacon is too large, the chips will break during assembly.
