Ingredients
1 lb (450g) ground turkey (93% lean recommended)
1/4 cup panko breadcrumbs
1 large egg, lightly beaten
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Olive oil spray
Instructions
Step 1: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, panko breadcrumbs, egg, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
Step 2: Gently mix the ingredients with your hands or a fork until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat for the best air fryer turkey burgers texture.
Step 3: Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into patties about 1/2-inch thick. Use your thumb to create a small indent in the center of each patty.
Step 4: Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 3-5 minutes.
Step 5: Lightly spray the air fryer basket with olive oil. Place the air fryer turkey burgers in the basket in a single layer, ensuring they do not touch.
Step 6: Cook for 6 minutes, then carefully flip the patties. Cook for an additional 5-6 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
Step 7: Remove the air fryer turkey burgers and let them rest for 2-3 minutes before serving on buns with your favorite toppings.
Notes
Ensure the internal temperature reaches 165°F for safety. For extra moisture, add a tablespoon of grated onion to the meat.
